About this Submission

The NSW State Government announced a review of the vocational education system in June 2023. Priorities for the review include addressing equity of participation, restoring confidence in NSW’s vocational education and training system, rebuilding and strengthening TAFE, and addressing current and future skills needs. These join new and emerging challenges and opportunities, including new forms of learning through online certificates and micro-credentials, and the intersection of skills needs with major economic developments, both now and into the future. 

An inquiry report is due mid-2024, with a response from the NSW State Government anticipated in the second half of the year.
