About this Submission

This consultation aims to understand how business could adopt an integrated Healthy Work approach, where work is designed and managed in a way that does not cause harm and has benefits to the physical and psychological health, safety and wellbeing of workers.  SafeWork NSW has described this initiative as looking at what business ‘can’ do as opposed to what they ‘have’ to do.

While being generally supportive of the initiative, Business NSW did express some reservations about the contents of the paper and asked for some of the messaging to be amended to make it clear that employers are not being held responsible for matters that lie outside their control and/or properly belong to the public health system.
