ENERGY EFFICIENCY GRANTS FOR SMES
The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is consulting on the Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (EEG SME) program. If you have previously applied or considered applying for an Energy Efficiency Grant, please tell us about your experiences and any feedback you would like us to provide to the Government.
The EEG SME program supports businesses to upgrade or replace inefficient equipment, lower their energy use and improve their energy efficiency. It also seeks to contribute to easing energy price fluctuations for businesses. Some more information on the program is available here. EEG SME is open to SMEs with 1 to 199 employees. Grant funding ranges from $10,000 to $25,000 to cover up to 100% of eligible project expenditure. Round 2 is due to open for applications later this year, and the design of the program will incorporate any feedback from businesses about Round 1.
Business NSW is interested in receiving any feedback from members about the application process, administration, eligibility requirements and impacts of the Energy Efficiency Grants. We are also interested in feedback about the process from businesses who considered applying but opted not to progress, or businesses whose grant application was declined.
